What do we find when we clean under our skins? I find that I keep forgetting where home is. Where has the once fluent Cantonese flowing through my body gone? I scrub and nourish my face with care in an attempt to connect with my mother, my mother tongue, my motherland. I take off a skin as I examine what I am losing, what I want to discard and what I have already lost without realising. Come clean your faces with me.
